McCormick & Co., Inc., the world leader in the spice, flavor & seasonings industry, is seeking a full time Sales Finance Manager III in its Consumer Products Division - Western Regional Sales Office. This position is located in Scottsdale, Arizona.

DESCRIPTION / RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the general supervision of the Director of Sales Finance and in conjunction with the Regional Vice President of Sales, this position helps set, implement and support the strategic plan for the Western Region through the development of the annual strategic and operating plan. It also provides leadership and expertise regarding profitability, utilization of financial measures, spending control and optimization, and establishment and monitoring of internal controls. Other responsibilities will include:
developing and implementing reporting initiatives for management level reporting and trade/sales finance team.
providing leadership and financial training to all team members regarding customer and product profitability, trade spend optimization and CRM enhancements/rollouts.
performing post-promotional analysis to assess trade spend effectiveness through return on investment analysis and incremental lift associated with promotions and develop recommendations to improve future top-line and bottom-line performance.
developing and preparing volume/trade forecast on a monthly/annual basis.
assessing risks and opportunities and proactively developing plans to minimize exposure and maximize results.
working closely with Sales Planning, Customer Business Managers, Sales Directors and the Regional Vice President on national promotional plans in order to address competitive pressures and regional opportunities including measurement and tracking of incremental sales programs and provides region perspective during the national promotional planning process.
leading monthly/quarterly business reviews and communicating trade budgets and strategies to senior management, finance and marketing.
developing, documenting and ensuring adequate controls exist for the trade spending process including monitoring of CRM forecast accruals, planned spending and amounts available for planning for all customers in the region.


Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:
7+ years of finance and/or accounting experience and a minimum of 3 years financial analysis experience required.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field required.
MBA preferred
Must have an in-depth understanding of financial analysis techniques and the ability to work effectively across multiple functions of the organization.
Ability to work independently and use sound judgment is required.
Sales finance and/or marketing finance experience including customer contracts, trade funds and/or IRI data are required.
Effective planning and organizational skills, very strong demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills and strong Excel (financial modeling), Word and Power Point abilities are required.
Excellent written and oral communication skills including the ability to present to senior management required.
5 to 10% travel is required.
Consumer Product Goods (CPG) industry experience preferred.
Ability to relocate for future opportunities is preferred.
